Ye Ming is simply ruthless and calculative. He doesn't care for anyone as he threatens his allies that if they get in his way, he would kill them before getting transported to Saint Relic Domain. Ye Ming is determined to be stronger than anyone et any price he has to sacrifice.
Even though he is merciless and seems to be prideful, Ye Ming has a good head on his shoulder. After silently observing Wu Huang and Yao Yao's battle, he acknowledges the latter's strength as the biggest threat; so, he casts aside the pride of a genius from another continent to propose a temporary alliance with Wu Huang to get rid of the threat. Just like Wu Huang, he single-mindedly focuses on becoming stronger for himself without caring about others.
