Wu Xuan is the King of the Great Wu Empire
Appearance[]
A tall and well-built middle-aged man. As King Wu, he has a determined and unyielding look, while a stern and dignified aura overflows from between his brows. A certain pressure spreads from his body, making everyone tremble involuntarily.
Personality[]
Wu Xuan is heartless and ambitious. He only cares about the fame and power of his empire, not his family nor the people. That's why he treats Wu Yao coldly before she awakens her saint dragon blessing while favoring Wu Huang. Moreover, Wu Xuan even uses all kinds of methods to delay his children's birth for 3 years to match Zhou Yuan's birthday, which causes his wife to weaken greatly.
Background[]
The Wu Clan that originally a subject of the Great Zhou Empire suddenly rebelled 15 years ago (before the real timeline of the story). The reason for the rebellion was because of a certain prophecy that had been passed down in the inner circle of the Wu Clan for several hundred years:

They had been waiting for 100 years until the birth of Zhou Yuan to steal the Saint Dragon Blessing with a Wu Clan's twin, Wu Huang and Wu Yao, whose blessings are python and Phoenix. They were born on the same day with Zhou Yuan because those with the same birthdate could steal each other's blessing. The twin was supposed to be given birth 3 years earlier, but Wu Xuan used all tricks to delay it; consequently, his wife became very fragile and ill.
On the day Zhou Yuan was born, Wu Xuan entered the city and threatened the Zhou with the lives of hundreds and millions of Great Zhou citizens. He wanted to seize your sacred dragon blessing. Zhou Qing tried to fight back King Wu to protect his son on the Great Zhou Mountain but was cut off one arm. He was spared because Wu Xuan feared that someone might destroy the Saint Dragon Blessing if Zhou Qing was dead. King Wu then made a pledge with the ancestor that the Wu Empire would not step in the Zhou's ancestral land for 100 years, but he later broke this promise after 17 years.
After stealing the Saint Dragon Blessing, the Great Wu Empire flourished exponentially. However, only Wu Huang awakened the blessing as he predicted and Wu Yao did not until her mother was accidentally killed by him when he planned to transfer her blessing to Wu Huang. This incident happened was when his children were 8 years old.
