Ning Zhan is the Young Master of the Ning Clan, its Martial Idiot and one of the best elite geniuses in the Cangmang Continent. He is also one of the most trustworthy friends of Zhou Yuan. He walks the dual path of internal and external cultivation.
He is usually paired with Zhen Xu and Li Chunjun, with his usual cultivation a half a stage behind Li Chunjun and a whole realm behind Zhou Yuan. He lived long before the events of The Great Ruler written by the author Heavenly Silkworm Potato.

A young man with thick muscular body akin to a metal tower. His eyes are always filled with battle lust. It is as if he was a ferocious ape beast. He grinned and let out a hearty laugh, no hesitation whatsoever as he stamped his foot on the ground and his body soared into the sky. Several leaps later, he disappeared.

One could only watch as a muscular figure stepped forward. It was a bare torso young man whose eyes were akin to a ferocious ape that were filled with wild battle lust.
On the eighth stone platform, the entire platform had been blown apart. Ning Zhan climbed out from the rubble. His body was riddled with scars, but the smile on his face was filled with wild excitement.

Ning Zhan SD (Manhua)
After less than two years joining the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall, he became a young man with bare arms who was wielding a red-and-gold staff.
Because his master sealed a black spirit jiao's (黑灵蛟) beast soul into one of his arms, a sinister-looking black flood dragon pattern is on his arm. It exuded a terrifying and ferocious qi.

A tall and muscular bludgeon (iron rod) wielding man. A ferocious aura spread from every fibre of his body. Although he was at the Elementary Heavenly Sun stage, every swing of his giant bludgeon sent several same cultivation level enemies flying backwards bloody.
His giant bludgeon swept forth once more together with a whirlwind of violent Genesis Qi, sending two charging enemies flying backwards again.
Ning Zhan couldn’t evade in time and the sword qi released by Li Chunjun tore his clothes to pieces, exposing his sturdy like tiger upper body.

Ning Zhan is described as a bold, battle maniac. He simply doesn't care about fame, wealth, or anything except strength. He loves challenging those who are stronger than him to train himself. He is a blunt loud speaker. He has a habit: Ning Zhan punched his fists together, his face filled with battle lust.
However, he still has self-reflection, knowing the strength of himself and comparing it to others to see if he could fight his all and win.
Ning Zhan also values his friends, willing to unleash his trump cards, like his sealed black spirit jiao, to save them.
He’s a stubborn idiot that only knows how to charge head-first into battle. He lacks subterfuge and is straightfoward with his words.
Background[]
Ning Zhan was known as a martial fool of the genius younger generation in the Cangmang Continent and famous for his fierce and straightforward characteristics. He is one of the few who opened a Golden-colored Qi Dwelling and attained a qi pillar of over 200 feet upon entering the Heaven Gate Realm. He was famous in the Cangmang Continent as Wu Huang of the Great Wu, Lu Luo of the Thousand Beast, Zuoqiu Qingyu of the Zuoqiu, Li Chunjun of the Sword and Zhen Xu of the Yama, therefore, he could fight others above his cultivation level. However, unlike most of them, Ning Zhan was experienced with living outdoors.
While he grew up in the Ning Clan, battle maniac Ning Zhan was a headache for the clan members. Everyone in the courtyard breathed a sigh of relief as they watched him leave before bursting into cheers.

Saint Relic Domain Trials[]
Upon learning of the upcoming opening of Cangmang Continent's central region's Saint Relic Domain, the Grade-5 Genesis Qi Advanced Heaven Gate and Martial Idiot Ning Zhan immediately and forwardly left the Ning Clan to participate. He alone traveled and reached Saint Relic City (圣迹城) after 2 months. In the Chosen Child Building, Ning Zhan and other geniuses watched Zhou Yuan's mighty display. On the same night, Ning Zhan attends the city's auction as a VIP. He also learned of the arrival of the 6 Great Sacred Sects' Divine Palace envoys. A few days later, Ning Zhan entered the Saint Relic Domain 30 miles from the city.
In the Saint Relic Domain, Ning Zhan fought many others and attained a spot on the Saint Tablet after becoming an Alpha-Origin yuan master. He also hunted various native Grade-3 to Grade-4 Genesis Beasts to obtain the Domain's unique white Genesis Qi/Beads for cultivation and collect new Xuan Yuan/Lesser Heaven Yuan Techniques jade slips. After the first 7 days, Ning Zhan stepped into the Quasi Alpha-Origin Realm.[2] After the next half month, Ning Zhan had various fortuitous encounters and broke through to the 1st Layer Alpha-Origin Realm. He was also besieged by the Wu Huang-Dongxuan Continent Alliance with Wu Huang alone. Ning Zhan managed to unleash 108 rounds with Wu Huang but ultimately lost.
At the Saint Relic Domain's sacred grounds' Saint Pagoda, Ning Zhan became impressed and respected Zhou Yuan's tenacity and morality. Ning Zhan fought in the 8th of 9 stone platforms and was victorious against the Dongxuan Continent's Fang Zong.
Entering North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall[]
At the end of the Saint Relic Domain's finale and half a month later, peak 2nd Layer Alpha-Origin Ning Zhan was scouted and decided to join the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall. He also witnessed Zhou Yuan dodge one isolated attack from the Divine Palace Zhao Pan. A few days later, he left the Cangmang Continent on the Hundred Flowers Fairy Palace's Void Breaking Shuttle.
On the ship for 1 month heading to Shengzhou Continent, he made a vow with his fellow new friends (simultaneously rival geniuses) to aim for the pinnacle of cultivation. He first sent off Zhou Yuan, Yao Yao and the Mu Wuji's Canguxan Sect group. He became a new first grade outer disciple recruit and took part in the inner disciple selection ceremony to become a true disciple 3 months after arriving at the Hall. After joining the Hall, Ning Zhan learned new Lesser Heavens and 1 low-Heaven yuan technique. He also obtained a Grade-6 Genesis Qi for his Alpha-Origin Realm cultivation upon becoming an elite disciple 3 months later. He even began learning martial techniques in conjunction with his new bludgeon (staff).
He became famous too as a disciple from the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall called Ning Zhan who is also from the Cangmang Continent since less than 7 months ago. His remarkable talent to become a direct disciple even caused quite a fight amongst several elders.
About 8 months in the Hall, Ning Zhan hears about 4th Layer Zhou Yuan defeating an 8th Layer in the Saint Palace-Cangxuan Sect incident at the Grade-6 Genesis vein in the Black Flame Province (Heaven) mission. Two months later, his Hall's chief disciple selection occurs and Ning Zhan participates for experience.
Profound Origin Cave Heaven - Meeting Again, Gift 1 (Thank You Gift)[]
It has been slightly over a year since Ning Zhan joined the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall and became an elite direct disciple.[3] This time's Profound Origin Cave Heaven's entrance appears in the Shengzhou Continent's South Sea. The top 6 sects of Shengzhou Continent are given the front area closest to the spatial entrance. On the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall’s side was an enormous law boat (巨大法舟) that was being pulled by eight azure jiaos (flood dragons). Astonishing Genesis Qi undulations pulsed from the body of each jiao (flood dragon), clearly showing that they were no ordinary beasts. The Hall's leader is a peak Nascent Origin Realm master.
The Profound Origin Cave Heaven experience lasts for several months, reaching to the almost 2 years since Ning Zhan's arrival on the Shengzhou Continent.
Periphery - Profound Origin Essence Gather[]
The Profound Origin essence gathering elite disciple parties work under the 2 Chief Disciples each while the Chosens of the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall alone prepare and open the path ahead. Part of the reason why the Chosens were leaving first was to help pave the way for the rest of the disciples, while another part was naturally to obtain higher Profound Origin essence. Using #-colored Profound Origin essence, it is possible to condense a #-colored Divine Establishment Treasure and grow with more absorbed Profound Origin essence. The usual in this periphery area are 1 to 4 colored Profound Origin essence, potentially allowing Ning Zhan to condense a 4-colored Divine Establishment Treasure at least. This area is also the elimination round of various non-6 Great Sacred Sects and for the 6 sects themselves to start small quarrels from earlier pre-Profound Origin Cave Heaven conflicts.
Wooden Manor - Meeting the Others of the Six[]
New Clothes
All the Chosens of various sects arrived first at the mountain range meeting point and created a new wooden manor for use then scouted the deeper regions as they fought against other Chosen and establish their Sect base. Later, chief disciples arrived at the city after a month entering the Valley area. Ning Zhan's group and North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall reached the mountain range before Zhou Yuan's group reunited with the Cangxuan Sect. Beside Li Chunjun, Ning Zhan rested and watched in a new wooden towering pavilion Zhou Yuan's performance against the Saint Palace before the sects enter the deeper regions of the Profound Origin Cave Heaven. Ning Zhan watched Zhou Yuan's external cultivation versus the Cangxuan Heaven's top 5 chief disciples the Saint Palace's 2nd ranked chief disciple Zhao Jing's physical might. Ning Zhan was shocked by Jin Chanzi's un-Chosen like action and Zhou Yuan surviving it.
Mountain Range - Working of the Six[]
The usual in this area are 5 to 7 colored Profound Origin essence, potentially allowing Ning Zhan to condense a 7-colored Divine Establishment Treasure at least. Besides the Treasures, Profound Origin tokens and sealing nodes' destruction are also goals to access the Core. Ning Zhan also had to follow the Contribution rule established by the Six. This continued for several days.
New Design
With Zuoqiu Qingyu and Li Chunjun, Ning Zhan tried to intervene and help Yao Yao escape from the Soul Suppressing Mountain trap instigated by the Chosen of the Saint Palace and Heavenly Ghost Sect through Zhen Xu's early assisted secret message. The trio had Lu Luo contact Zhou Yuan on behalf of the Hundred Flowers Fairy Palace. Ning Zhan, knowing he could not alone (with his incomplete black spirit jiao technique) defeat even one ordinary 45,000 Genesis stars Chosen, decided to only stall for time with his trump card. Instead, the forced passive trio witnessed an even greater opponent they each cannot face with their current 8th Layer Alpha-Origin Realm cultivation, 8th Layer Alpha-Origin Zhou Yuan. He also commented to the other Cangxuan Sect's Chosen about Zhou Yuan killing Lei Jun (molecules) and Tie Mo (meat pulp).
Jade Disc Mountain: Core - Competition Among the Six[]
Seven mounrain peaks in order had a jade disc each, the seventh peak housing the king jade disc with 3 eight-colored Divine Establishing Treasures. The king (seventh peak) was fought over by the Chosens of Cangxuan Sect-Saint Palace and the sixth peak was fought over by th Chosens of Hundred Flowers Fairy Palace-Heavenly Ghost Sect.
With the first fight between Cangxuan Sect and the Saint Palace, Ning Zhan with his friends sighed at the Saint Palace's deep preparations and watched the battle Zhou Yuan-Jin Chanzi outside the Jade Disc Mountain. He also came to think of Zhou Yuan as too abnormal and became slightly envious of his Chosen equivalent abilities in less than 2 years. At the end, his watched Zhou Yuan obtain the king jade disc of the 7 jade discs on the seventh peak.
The North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall fought against the Sword Seeker Sect for the last of the three eight-colored jade discs on the fifth peak, however, the area around the discs prevented flight and the Saint Palace intervened, winning the jade disc instead. In the end, six of the seven jade discs (3 have eight-colored, 3 have seven-colored Divine Establishing Treasures) had fallen into the hands of the six major sects. Because Ning Zhan was only a peak elite disciple, he could not participate for the bloody vying of the jade disk, but watch and learn from the killing filled battles. He was among the many survivors surprised by Cangxuan Sect's king jade disc containing 3 eight-colored, 10+ seven-colored and numerous lesser-colored Divine Establishment Treasures.
He received a goodbye gaze from Zhou Yuan and a month later, he is sent a seven-colored Divine Establishment Treasure by Zhou Yuan.
Distant Saint City - Asura Wu Huang vs Dragon Zhou Yuan[]
Upon knowing about the Great Zhou Empire being invaded by the Great Wu Empire alongside the Saint Palace's fight with the Cangxuan Sect, Ning Zhan and his fellow friends moved incognito to assist against the Saint Palace's ambush along Zhou Yuan's travel back to the Cangmang Continent, but eventually met together in Distant Saint City (离圣城) and observed the final battle between Wu Huang and Zhou Yuan. He later learn about the collapse of the Great Wu Empire and Zhou Yuan shattering the Cangxuan Saint Stamp to stop Sheng Yuan. However, because of Zhou Yuan's and Yao Yao's mysterious disappearance on the Cangmang Continent, Ning Zhan continued to improve his cultivation.
Ning Zhan was also blazing with compeition against Zhou Yuan becoming the top Chosen of his Sect in 2 years, motivating the Martial Idiot to improve himself and become North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall's top Chosen and a high Chosen on Shengzhou Continent.
War of the Heavens - Zhou Yuan's Return, Gift 2[]
After Zhou Yuan left Cangxuan Heaven, Grade-7 Genesis Qi Ning Zhan learned that the Great Zhou Empire was protected by the Cangxuan Sect. 9th Layer Alpha-Origin Ning Zhan also became a famous Chosen of his Hall and later entered the Divine Palace Realm with a Nine Heaven Divine Palace awakening.
Compared to Ning Zhan, 'Blindy' Li Chunjun became the finest of his friends' (excluding Zhou Yuan) generation after their 3 year separation from Zhou Yuan. Although Li Chunjun, like Ning Zhan, was only at the Elementary Heavenly Sun stage, he knew that Li Chunjun's combat strength far surpassed his because 'Blindy' can kill ordinary Advanced Heavenly Sun cultivators.
The "War of All Heavens" could represent the future destiny of one Heaven and the current is the 10th "War". About every thousand years, "War of All Heavens" is actually a competition for the distribution rights of the oldest Genesis Qi, the ancestral qi within Guyuan Heaven. The more Heavens that participate, the stronger the ancestral qi it births. Guyuan Heaven transformed into a three-level restrictive domain when it was born. The first level is the Law Domain space, the second is the Nascent Origin space, and the third is the Heavenly Sun space. Each level of the domain contains 20% of the total ancestral qi born in Guyuan Heaven and there are 9 main spatial veins in the depths of each domain level. The 9 main veins each differ in strength. If one can open up and occupy the strongest vein and then connect it to one’s Heaven, that Heaven will get the largest share of ancestral qi. Each main vein also have branches. Although the person who controls the vein can't absolutely control the ancestral qi, they can tamper with it and improve an area in their Heaven.
Compared to the other Heavens, Cangxuan Heaven was indeed too weak. This was something anyone could see from how Elementary Heavenly Sun experts like Ning Zhan were brought in to make up the numbers. Moreover, he was a new Heavenly Sun expert that had recently advanced right before the battle for Guyuan Heaven. Due to the "War of All Heavens", the North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall had given Ning Zhan a tremendous amount of cultivation resources, allowing him to ascend to the Heavenly Sun stage with a solid foundation, and gain the qualification to enter Guyuan Heaven. Of course, not just anyone could enjoy such treatment, and only a handful of precious disciples were given these benefits, mainly former Chosens.
When the Cangxuan Heaven team (Heavenly Sun cultivators only) entered Guyuan Heaven, the Saint Palace sub-team immediately clashed with the rest of the team. However, they did not fight, but instead choose to withdraw. With an additional Saint Race sub-team, they would launch a night attack on the Cangxuan Heaven team main camp seven days later...the various factions suffered terrible losses, and were repeatedly forced back. After being beaten, the Cangxuan Heaven factions elected the Cangxuan Sect’s senior brother Chu Qing as their leader. With Chu Qing's leadership, the Cangxuan Heaven team survived (and suffered casualties) before Zhou Yuan arrived in their vicinity. The team was forced to keep retreating and relocating, while the Saint Palace side relentlessly gave chase. Over the past month, countless clashes had erupted between both parties. This even cemented Ning Zhan's desire to completely eradicate the Saint Palace from Cangxuan Heaven.
Elementary Heavenly Sun Realm Ning Zhan with less than 1 billion Genesis Qi stars easily fought other similar and 1 small stage higher cultivation realm Saint Palace members with Zhen Xu while both guarded for Li Chunjun. They and other team members were in a canyon where a high grade ancestral qi branch vein was hidden deep under. After Zhou Yuan's fight with Shengling Heaven's Wei Tuo, the annoyed Li Chunjun unleashed another a gush of sword qi swept towards the two, Ning Zhan and Zhen Xu, out of embarassment from the pair's small comments on his unappealing allure compared to Zuoqiu Qingyu and Lu Luo.
As part of the Cangxuan Heaven Team, Ning Zhan followed the Hunyuan Heaven's Heaven Abyss Territory subteam for about less than 2 months and assisted with the awakening of many ancestral qi branch veins, 1 being high grade and the others middle or low grade. Eventually, they teamed up with the other 3 non-Saint Race Heavens. The cooperation also allowed the Five Heavens (Heavenly Sun Realm) to obtain a Profound Mark branch that helped Ning Zhan ascend to Intermediate Heavenly Sun Realm while increasing his Genesis Qi stars to less than 2 billion.
Heaven Abyss Territory Team[]
The final confrontation between the Five Heavens and Saint Race Four Heavens had several top Advanced Heavenly Sun genuises lead teams to stop the Saint Race's scheme of stealing all 9 main veins in one attempt with a unique large array, with one team consisting of Ning Zhan and his friends lead by Li QIngchan to follow Commander Zhou Yuan. Ning Zhan's and teammates were tasked if they encounter the more powerful nodes, the main task will be to set up own array flags at the designated locations ordered by leader Li Qingchan to suppress the boundary’s power while Ning Zhan and some teammates fought the Saint Race as well as the more powerful Saint Race talents were fought by Zhou Yuan. They confronted many 3.5 Billion Genesis Qi stars Saint Races. The repeated process was for 6+ nodes: Clean up the battlefield, set up the flags, and destroy the boundary node. The processes also created a flaw in the large array to allow Zhou Yuan alone to enter its core area.
With the other Five Great Heavens' Heavenly Suns, Ning Zhan watched Zhou Yuan defeating several 4+ Billion Genesis Qi stars Saint Race supreme talents and his crazy act of consuming Ancestral Dragon meat.
At the end of the War against the Heavenly Sun Realm Saint Race geniuses, Ning Zhan became an Advanced Heavenly Sun yuan master with 3+ billion Genesis Qi stars through the main Ancestral Qi baptism. He witnesses in surprise with others' open silent mouths Zhou Yuan's secret Nine-Clawed Heavenly Sun and his Greater Nascent Origin leap.
After the extraction from Guyuan Heaven, Ning Zhan and the other Heavenly Sun Realm Five Heavens' Teams receive a respectful bow from all senior Nascent Origin, Law Domain and Saint experts for the brave, self-sacrificing actions to obtain the 20% domain's Ancestral Qi main veins for the Five Heavens. He also witnesses a single small clash between Ancient Saint Nan Ming and Ancient Venerable Jin Luo.
Ancestral Dragon Pill - Zhou Yuan's Return, Gift 3[]
After returning from Guyuan Heaven without saying goodbye to Zhou Yuan and during the next 5~6 years, Ning Zhan's Advanced Heavenly Sun Realm propelled him to undertake missions that involved fighting the Saint Palace and other Sects over the Cangxuan Saint Stamp shards. As a renown North Sea Garrison Dragon Hall Elder, Ning Zhan received Heavens' top news concerning Zhou Yuan's achievements over the past 5~6 years. Over seven months after the returning from Guyuan Heaven, Ning Zhan and his friends receive news of all Heavens' hot topic, the Ancestral Dragon Pill made by Yao Yao. Two years after, he receives news about higher grade Ancestral Dragon Pills being manufactured.
Elder Ning Zhan was also surprised by the Saint Palace singularly eradicating the Heavenly Ghost Sect. He began fighting the Saint Demon Army (Nascent Origin Realm, Elementary Law Domain Realm) during his missions.
The peak of Perfection Nascent Origin Realm is Ning Zhan's current cultivation level by the time Zhou Yuan returns to Cangxuan Heaven after a decade. He receives a Yao Yao made Ancestral Dragon Pill from Zhou Yuan to help him smoothly enter the Law Domain Realm and prepare for the war against the Saint Palace. With Ning Zhan's rivalry to his peers and their promise to aim for the pinnacle of cultivation, Ning Zhan would have cultivated his Nascent Origin to 9.8 inches at least to cement his future as a 3 Lotus Saint.
Raiding the Saint Palace[]
As an Elementary Law Domain expert, Grade-8 Genesis Qi Ning Zhan accompanied his friends to follow the Blue Profound Heaven Alliance to raid and eliminate the Saint Palace completely. In 10 days, Ning Zhan participates in the Alliance to eradicate all non-Shengzhou Continent Saint Palace branches, and in half a month, surround the Saint Palace Headquarters. Ning Zhan and the other Law Domain experts are given Zhou Yuan made jade tablets each (each secretly embedded with a Saint Stamp shard) to be protected from Sheng Yuan's established defense, the Boundless Saint Blood Pond's bloody sea's corrosion, and safely enter its spatial labyrinth to fight Saint Palace experts. Sheng Yuan also live broadcasted his battle with Zhou Yuan as well as having his Saint Lotus Bud sealed by Zhou Yuan, a feat that surprised everyone even Ning Zhan.
Ning Zhan, alongside others, witnesses the Saint Palace completely become bloody sacrificed by Sheng Yuan to help him obtain a sliver of the Saint God's aura to promote to himself the 1 Lotus Saint Realm. Ning Zhan felt extreme fear from the sudden Saint God's shadow. Ning Zhan also witnesses Zhou Yuan surviving a 1 Lotus Saint's Saint Fire attack, the complete restoration of the Cangxuan Saint Stamp and the temporary revival of Heaven Master Cang Xuan.

Zhou Yuan's and Yao Yao's Wedding[]
Law Domain realm Ning Zhan attends Zhou Yuan's wedding to Yao Yao in the Great Zhou Empire one month and ten days after entering the tower to train.
The next day, Ning Zhan and other Zhou Yuan's friends learn of Yao Yao's true status as a God of the Third Sequence and her forced hibernation by the Saint God's actions. Ning Zhan and the others leave to train in the Good Fortune Pagoda, while Zhou Yuan enters a one year mourning.
Second World Extinguishing War[]
First Invasion[]
As an Advanced Law Domain Realm expert, Ning Zhan is enlisted into the Cangxuan Heaven Defense Army (led 1 Lotus and 2 Lotus Saints) and tensely waits for half a year before the Saint Race invade. The Saint Race use random natural space channels to enter Cangxuan Heaven spacetime areas to bypass the Chaos Origin Saint Killer Array and invade Cangxuan Heaven. To defend, the Cangxuan Heaven Defense Army station themselves in these spacetime areas at defense levels for interception. Ning Zhan then travels in his friends and military unit for the next half year to fight the invading Saint Race Law Domain experts' forces and eradicate any Saint Race on the spot, gaining a baleful aura in the process while losing many Law Domain comrades (excluding his friends).
After the first year of enlistment, Ning Zhan and his unit meet a ruthless peak Advanced Law Domain Evil Beast named Hong Lin who secretly suppressed half a foot from the Saint Realm and upon entering the battlefield, broke through to the 1 Lotus Saint stage to massacre many Law Domain experts. The 4 peak Advanced Law Domain Sect Masters (Qing Yang, Shan, Heavenly Sword Sovereign and Gu Jing) of Ning Zhan's alongside other friends' sects take over the fight and use their four-combined Law Domains' self-detonation to completely strip 3 petals from the 1 Lotus Saint Hong Lin. The 4 Sect Masters are killed in front of their juniors' eyes, but their actions enlighten the highest among the young, Chu Qing and Li Chunjun, to breakthrough to the Saint Realm by self-detonating their own Law Domains. Their self-detonations' collision with 2 Lotus Petal Hong Lin's power created ripples cause Ning Zhan and his friends to be knocked back and spew blood. Ning Zhan and his friends become bound by Hong Lin's red python form. The dual 1 Lotus Saint ascendance even makes Ning Zhan dumbfounded.
Ning Zhan then watches 1 Lotus Saint Zhou Yuan using the Saint yuan weapon Heavenly Yuan Brush and Chaos Refining Saint Gourd to defeat the peak 2 Lotus Saint Yan Xu. Ning Zhan also feels annoyed by Chu Qing's straight comment about his bald head not having hair even when he became a Saint just to change the group mood. Ning Zhan silently mourns the fallen Sect Masters. Zhou Yuan has Ning Zhan and their side retreat out of fear of Ancient Saint Zhang Lei appearing and detonate the spacetime area with Genesis Rune energy scrolls to clean up their tracks. He has all Law Domain experts, including Ning Zhan, set the scrolls up then priorities them to retreat through space channels while the Saints cautiously observe from the rear.
Ning Zhan and the Law Domain unit waited for 15 days for the 3 Lotus Saint battle between Cang Yuan and Zhang Lei to end in a tie. This battle allowed Cangxuan Heaven a 6 month breathing room, however, the Saint Race managed to obtain 2 core spacetime areas for the next invasion round, with the higher chance of combat falling to Cangxuan Heaven.
Second Invasion[]
The Cangxuan Heaven Defense Army, with support by the a super-type boundary, intercepts this bigger invasion lead by Ancient Saint Zhang Lei. Three 1 Lotus Saints join the defense: Wu Yao, Su Youwei and Zhao Mushen. The invasion strategy uses quantity and Saint Race's natural greater recovery to erode the defense line and slowly increase the non-Saint Race casualy rate to take over the Heaven without care for Saint Race casualties. This conflict lasts for 1 year with a large blood bath and the shatter of the super-type boundary, putting Ning Zhan and his friends in mortal peril.
During this year, Zhou Yuan uses his Heaven Master privilages to live broadcast the long fight to Cangxuan Heaven natives, such as Ning Zhan, to keep up to moral and have gradually awakened Law Domain experts in the Good Fortune Pagodas join the war effort. The invasion ends with the awakening of the Third God.
Quasi-Saint Ning Zhan and other Law Domain experts witness 3 Lotus Saint Beast Tun Tun's swallowing, allowing the Defense Army to regain its moral and slaughter more Saint Race. However, immediately the death of Zhang Lei at the Third God's hand stops the battle while Ning Zhan feels anxious for Zhou Yuan due to the Third God's awakening. After being reprimanded by Cang Yuan, Ning Zhan and the Defense Army members bow down and verbally pay respects to the Third God.
Saint God's Ascending[]
As a peak Law Domain expert (Quasi-Saint), Ning Zhan joins the All Heavens' Army led by the 4 Ancient Venerables, 1 Ancient Saint Beast and the Third God to attack the Saint Race's Heavens. However, Ning Zhan does not get to fight the Saint Race and only witnesses the Ancient Saints' blood sacrifice of its Saint Spirit Heaven's and Saint Nether Heaven's living beings, including other Saint Races, while also witnessing the awakened Saint God's God War with the Third God. During this God War, Ning Zhan learns of the Saint God's deep conspiracy to ensure its 99% victory and stealing of the Third God's divinity to ascend beyond the Second Sequence.
With Zhou Yuan's sudden interference, Ning Zhan as part of the All Heavens' Army successfully retreated back to his Heaven.
Zhou Yuan's Recollection Travels[]
For the demented Zhou Yuan, Ning Zhan meets him and Yao Yao with entourage (friends) at the Shengzhou Continent's Cangxuan Sect to help Zhou Yuan recollect his human side through his memories.
Yuan Zun Ending[]
The incomplete god Zhou Yuan could not face against the Saint God's suicidal fusion method to take over the Heaven Genesis World. This method also began the complete body and soul annihilation of many non-Saint Race cultivators, such a Ning Zhan. However, with Zhou Yuan realizing and completing the Ancestral Dragon Scripture's 4th stage, Zhou Yuan became the new God of the First Sequence, Venerable Yuan, and successor to the Ancestral Dragon. This ascension resulted with all of the Saint God's destructive path undone, thereby undoing the deaths of Ning Zhan and others.
After the Saint God's death, Quasi Saint Ning Zhan as part of the All Heavens' Army follows it to Saint Ancestor Heaven's Saint Mountain to eradicate all the Saint Race members, however, the Army is too late to learn of the Saint Race's escape from the Heaven Genesis World.
A Decade Later[]
It took Venerable Yuan a decade to completely refine the corpse and soul of the Saint God in the Chaotic Yin Yang Sea into new Divine Qi source treasure. During this decade, Ning Zhan and his rival friends enter the 1 Lotus Saint Realm.
Using the Chaotic Yin Yang Sea divine artifact, Venerable Yuan rained and planted the Divine Bone origin to enable all Heaven Genesis World beings the chance to ascend to the God Realm. Ning Zhan later learned from the Ancient Venerables about the Saint Race's escape and Venerable Yuan's disappearance to properly cultivate to the First Sequence God Realm. Ning Zhan and his friends also knew Venerable Yuan stored Yao Yao, through her leftover Divine Bone, in a cave in the Cangxuan Sect guarded by Tun Tun.
A Century Later and Decades More[]
After a century, Ning Zhan experiences the revolution of new and more cultivators entering the Divine Genesis Era. He also knows that more new Heavens are gradually born in the Heaven Genesis World. As a peak yuan master of Cangxuan Heaven in this century, Ning Zhan and his friends become top Ancient Venerables of Cangxuan Heaven, behind the Blindy and Baldy who were only ones to reach Quasi God Realm. At the century's end, he learns about Zhou Yuan's return to the Cangxuan Sect and the revived Yao Yao. Several decades after Yao Yao's revival, more Gods arise in the Heaven Genesis World under Zhou Yuan's guidance, such as Ning Zhan and friends.
Some Gods decided to leave the Heaven Genesis World, through the hidden black hole in the Saint Ancestor Heaven, to adventure in the neighboring Great Thousand World and others beyond.
