Gu Clan is an independent clan that governs the Gu Territory, where is already part of the central region and is relatively close to the Saint Relic Domain.
Background[]
The Gu Territory doesn't fall under the rule of a particular empire but is instead governed by an influential Gu Clan. The members of the Gu Clan have pretty strong divine souls; therefore, it is a clan proficient in Genesis Runes because it owns a Spirit Refining Tower where one’s divine soul can be tempered. It's pretty expensive to buy a spot inside; it costs 50,000 Genesis crystals. However, the tower is a fraud.
The tower is actually a Spirit Devouring Tower. The Spirit Refining Mist is mixed with an insidious poison that damages the souls of those who absorb, making it difficult for any further progress, and extracts spirit nourishment from those who have strong divine souls.

Spirit Link is a secret technique of their Gu clan that gathers the divine souls of several people to perform combined attacks. However, the repercussions aren't small, and negligence would lead to hurting one’s soul.
