Genesis Root, or Divine Blessing, is an extremely rare blessing given by Heaven and Earth to extremely talented individuals. These individuals would absolutely be elites of elites no matter where they are. The blessing grants them great luck, divine protection, and a powerful foundation for future cultivation.
There are many types of genesis roots: usually based on ancient saint genesis beasts (ex. dragon) and energies (ex. yin-yang). The root would grant at least one ability that far surpasses an ordinary person, giving these geniuses a better foundation or process of their cultivations.
Legends say that those born on the same year, month, and day may devour each other’s root or blessing.
When the yuan master familiarizes with their genesis root, one could assimilate with the blessing and obtain enormous genesis qi boost, like those with dragon-type blessing could use dragon transformation and utilize a dragon's innate power, such as strong defensive scales and dragon breath.
There are also very rare cases of the transformation of blessings. For example Wu Yao's sparrow changed to a phoenix after returning the last of the Saint Dragon Qi.
